YEAR 5 and 6 Grayscale

Stage 2 students have studied grayscale in depth this year.  We have done many exercises using grayscale including squinting at an image, doing thumbnail sketches and constructing their own grayscale.  They have also been introduced to paper stumps and kneadable rubbers as well as a selection of B pencils from 2B through to 6B.  These are some of the fabulous drawings they have produced using the knowledge and resources they have.  I will post more as they are finished but, I think you would have to agree this is a very impressive start!

This student drew a gum leaf
found outside the art room.  She then
took a photo of it on her iPad and
changed it into a black and white image and then redrew it.  Wow!
