DOGS IN CARS YEAR 5

 Year 5 has been looking at the contemporary Dutch artist Ed Van der Hoek's Dogs in Cars series.  The students were inspired by his whimiscal portrayal of dogs driving cars.  They learnt about layering a painting by painting the background first and painting into the outline of the car.  The students then painted the car and lastly their dogs.

 Year 5 closely observed birds to draw these realistic artworks, experimenting with painted backgrounds.
