 YEAR 3 TINTS AND SHADES

Students in Year 3 have been learning about tints and shades and how to create them.  A tint is any colour with white added and a shade is any colour with black added.  They practiced making tints and shades in their Visual Arts Diaries before creating these beautiful artworks.  We also looked at the artwork of contemporary Australian artist Anna Blatman.

Year 3

Year 3 has been looking at the incredible artworks of Jeannie Baker and her beautiful collaged books.  The students used many resources in the art room to create their scenes on recycled cardboard.

Year 2 and 3 Dale Chihuly inspired artworks

Dale Chihuly is a contemporary American artist who works with glass to create other worldly sculptures and installations.  Students in Year 2 and 3 created these individual artworks and collaborative pieces using posca pens and their incredible imaginations.
