Traditions die hard as the saying goes. Tie Dyeing tee-shirts at the end of the year for year 6 students is a tradition at TNPS and there was no way the current students were leaving school without a tie dyed tee shirt! There is a serious group photo and a silly one. They look great!

YEAR 4 PRINTMAKING
Year 4 experimented with painting using a palette knife. It was a challenge but once the students practised it became much easier. I am not sure this technique will be embraced by all but it was fun to give it a go. Students designed their own printing plates and printed on top of the background. Here are just a few beautiful examples. Some students embellished their designs with posca.

STAGE 3 DOORWAYS
The final project of the year for Stage 3 was creating a 3-D doorway. The students used their iPads to source various doors from around the world. They drew a number of different designs in their VAD's and began work on the actual model. The brief was the doorway had to open and there needed to be something behind the door. The door and surrounds had to be 3-D but materials used were chosen by the students to suit their design. This brief allowed the students to combine the many skills and techniques they have learned throughout this year and their previous years of art making. They had the image of what they wanted to create, Stobo Studio provided the materials and myself and other students were consulted in problem solving to create what was imagined. They are amazing, with more to be posted.
