YEAR THREE AND FOUR

These are working drawings and drafts from years three and four Visual Arts Diaries.  Year Three students are creating Aboriginal inspired artworks of Australian native animals using Indigenous symbols to create a story around their animal.  Year Four are learning about printmaking.  The students have penciled an artwork in their Visual Arts Diaries and have placed a clear perspex plate on top of the drawing outlining it in permanent marker.  Students etch into this plate before taking a print which they will then lightly paint with water colours.  I am so proud of them.

A huge congratulations go to our two recognised artists and their stunning artworks.  These two works were 2 out of only 10 artworks to receive a highly commended in the PULSE Art Competition.  These artworks will be on display at the Sydney Opera House during the performance of the PULSE showcase in July. What an honour! If you would like further information visit the Sydney Opera House website.  We at TNPS are so very proud of you both.
