Drawing is a foundation skill for all serious artists. Observation drawing, drawing what you see and not what you know is a key element that needs practice. Here students combined observational drawing with looking for the direction of the shadow and light. Students chose whether to draw on white paper and render dark shadow or to draw on black paper and render the light in the object. The results speak for themselves.
