YEAR 6 ABSTRACT EXPERIMENTATION
"Form itself, even if completely abstract... has its own inner sound" - Wassily Kandinsky. Year 6 have been experimenting with Yupo paper, a versatile, new paper. It is important to create using emotion and abstraction too. In this exercise students were free to experiment on their sheets of Yupo paper relinquishing a little bit of control to see where this would take them. These are the beginnings of their experimentation. Sometimes it is not easy to surrender some control but if you are brave some wonderful things can happen. Year 6 have been brave.
Kindergarten Printmaking
Kindergarten students are learning about the three Primary colours Red, Yellow and Blue. They are experimenting with paint and printmaking. Students painted two primary colours on their background and produced a secondary colour. After their background was dry students used repetition to print an interesting pattern. Aren't they colourful and fun!
