YEAR 3 FEAST

Here are the beautiful creations of the Year 3 FEAST ceramic pieces for 2017.  They are both imaginative and unique.  I see something new and wonderful every time I look.

STAGE 3 Black Pen Drawings

Stage 3 have been creating beautiful black pen drawings on small pieces of cardboard.  Here is a sample of their artistic ability.

YEAR 5 FEAST

The students from TNPS raise the bar of excellence regularly.  Year 5 students' ceramic pieces are now ready for collection.  Some clever students even decided to create mobiles.  How beautiful, individual and joyous are these artworks!

YEAR 1 COLLABORATIVE

Year 1 were given a jigsaw puzzle piece as part of a collaborative work they are creating.  This was a short, very open task where students were asked to look at their shape and come up with a design or a picture of their choice.  They practised a few drafts in their VAD before their final work.  They are individual, honest, whimsical creations using their wonderful imaginations.  This is just the beginning, I love them!

POM POM CHAIR

We have been working on a whole school collaboration - a Pom Pom Chair.  It is almost finished and as it is nearing its completion there have been many enquires as to what is happening to the chair and many offers to test it out!  It is wonderful to see so much enthusiasm around a chair.  What do you think?

YEAR 6 PHOTO IMAGE TRANSFER

Year 6 are studying the Australian Government and so in art we decided to focus on Prime Ministers. As luck would have it there were 29 students and 29 Australian Prime Ministers.  Students learned the technique of photo image transfer, using photocopied images on canvas.  After transferring the image students enhanced the image with white and black charcoal and painted the background.  Students then used the app Word Photo to add another dimension to their artwork.  Here is a sample.
