YEAR 5 REPURPOSED GROCERY BOXES
Year 5 have used their limitless imagination and creativity to create these 3-D buildings. They looked at a variety of building facades and then created their own in their VAD. Once this was done they chose a flattened cardboard box and drew their reimagined facade onto one of the box faces. Using pigmented dye, charcoal, aluminium shim, pencil shavings, rubber and wire they embellished their gorgeous buildings. I think they look wonderful.
STAGE 1 ACTION FIGURES AND PHOTOGRAPHY
Stage 1, years 1 and 2 created these actions figures out of alfoil. Students have been looking at the artwork of American Pop Artist Keith Haring as well as small manikins in the art room, carefully observing the positioning of the head, body and limbs in different action postures. Students created pencil drawings of action figures in their visual arts diaries before making these figures. The figures were then placed onto a background and photographed. They are wonderful!
