YEAR THREE AND FOUR

These are working drawings and drafts from years three and four Visual Arts Diaries.  Year Three students are creating Aboriginal inspired artworks of Australian native animals using Indigenous symbols to create a story around their animal.  Year Four are learning about printmaking.  The students have penciled an artwork in their Visual Arts Diaries and have placed a clear perspex plate on top of the drawing outlining it in permanent marker.  Students etch into this plate before taking a print which they will then lightly paint with water colours.  I am so proud of them.

YEAR 6

Year 6 has looked at the art of Australian artist Craig Ruddy with his scribble portrait of David Gulpilil and the art work of American artist Chuck Close with his scribble etchings.  The students chose an Australian politician and built up layers of transparent sheets to create their artworks.  One industrious student completed her work and then decided to create one of me!
