You have heard of family trees but Year 1 has put a new twist on an old concept. Students have created family leaves. They have learned about tints and shades. A tint is a colour with white added and a shade is a colour with black added. Students used their knowledge of portraiture and mark making as well as knowledge of their family to create these gorgeous family leaves. Some are still a work in progress but they are so beautiful. Students decided to include squares with their family pets.
