YEAR 6 PRINTMAKING

This term Year 6 have finally been able to use the wonderful printing press we have in the art room.  Year 6 were given the choice of linocuts or drypoint.  Understanding how these two printmaking techniques produce very different results is part of the learning process.  Inking up plates, rubbing back, preparing paper, setting up the press and finally running the print through the press brought these wonderful results.  Most students have not yet started painting into one of their prints.  These are just a few examples.  In my opinion, these are amazing results from my wonderful Year 6 students, especially as this is their first exposure to many of the techniques.
